As Chief Operations Officer at Buy Diesel Direct, she plays a central role in driving the company’s day-to-day efficiency, internal systems, and customer experience, ensuring scalable, consistent and high-quality delivery across South Africa’s growing diesel supply network.
Bongi’s career began in the newsroom, where she established herself as a sharp writer and strategic communicator at some of the country’s most respected media houses. Her ability to analyse complex information, craft compelling narratives, and influence public perception quickly positioned her as a trusted voice in media and corporate communications. That editorial precision and strategic mindset now inform her operational leadership style, combining clarity, coordination and commercial discipline.
In her role at Buy Diesel Direct, Bongi leads cross-functional operations, implements systems that support rapid business growth, and ensures alignment between frontline service delivery and broader strategic goals. As a master of sales and client satisfaction Juan-Dre Jacobs has continued to climb the ladder to get himself to new heights, while helping consumers every step of the way. With a great reputation in the Diesel industry and a massive passion for sales, he found himself moving from sales to success over the course of 13 years.
With an idea to start helping the local communities and Diesel consumers with an easy, fast, and great price delivery initiative, he joined hands with partners and formed Buy Diesel Direct.
With a growing demand in the Diesel industry and prices sky-rocketing on fuel, Juan-Dre saw an opportunity to bring suppliers and clients together in a much more cost effective way. Streamlining clients Diesel needs became a top priority and he immediately jumped head first into finding a solution to do just that.
With a passion for music, animals and sales, he continues to strive to make the world a better, easier living space for all.
Njongo Mpumlwana is an accomplished entrepreneur and commercial strategist with over 15 years of experience shaping brands and businesses across the FMCG sector. At Buy Diesel Direct, he serves as Chief Commercial Officer, leading the company’s growth agenda through bold strategy, data-driven marketing and value-led supplier and client partnerships.
A natural commercial architect, Njongo brings together financial discipline and marketing intuition to identify untapped market opportunities and turn them into scalable, revenue-generating solutions. His ability to balance long-term strategic vision with decisive short-term execution has been instrumental in positioning Buy Diesel Direct as one of South Africa’s most agile and trusted diesel supply platforms.
Before entering the energy sector, Njongo held senior roles at global companies where he spearheaded award-winning campaigns, expanded market share and led multi-market innovations. His success in brand-building and customer engagement is underpinned by a deep understanding of consumer behaviour, competitive positioning and growth economics.

With over 15 years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, and the fine art of juggling multiple businesses like a caffeinated octopus with Wi-Fi, Daniel knows how to get things done — fast, smart, and with a touch of flair.
Before launching Buy Diesel Direct, Daniel made his mark running 2 agencies, where he helped businesses climb Google faster than a diesel price hike before payday. But digital marketing alone wasn’t enough. After noticing how outdated and painful diesel ordering was in South Africa, he joined forces with a like-minded partner and asked the important question: Why is getting diesel harder than explaining Bitcoin to your gran?
And just like that, Buy Diesel Direct was born — a one-stop shop built to take the hassle, guesswork, and unnecessary markups out of diesel delivery. What started as two guys with a mission to make fuel delivery smarter, simpler, and way less painful, soon evolved into a Level 2 B-BBEE powerhouse by bringing two more directors on board. It’s now a fully inclusive business that’s all about streamlining diesel supply, cutting through red tape, and delivering petrol-station-level pricing without the queue.
